Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) is releasing the following statement after a verdict was reached regarding the Boston Marathon Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was found guilty on all 30 counts that included conspiracy and use of a weapon of mass destruction, including 17 that are punishable by death.

“While nothing can bring back those we have lost, I hope that today’s verdict brings the family members and the victims of the attack some amount of solace and closure knowing that justice has been served. Although this attack showed areas of weakness in our security, we have learned from it, and it has revealed our resilience and character as a nation that is stronger than ever before. “
