(Round Rock, TX) – Bell and Williamson County health care providers received $76,332,092.24 from the CARES Act to help deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, Representative John Carter announced today. “As part of the CARES Act, health care providers in Texas’ 31st district have received over $76 million in federal funding to help address the needs of frontline workers in dealing with Coronavirus. This money helps provide additional personal protective equipment, reimburses hospitals for care of the uninsured patients and helps bridge the gap for lost revenue attributed to COVID-19. Our healthcare workers are doing an incredible job to combat the spread the Coronavirus in Texas’ 31st district. These heroes on the frontline have gone above and beyond to keep our community healthy. This money will go a long way in helping these heroes, and I will continue to fight in Congress to ensure they have the resources they need to respond to this pandemic.” |
