Carter Demands Answers from Attorney General Holder on Fort Hood Shooting

Today, during the House Appropriations subcommittee hearing on the Justice Department's FY15 budget, Congressman John Carter, Representative of Fort Hood and Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, demanded answers from Attorney General Eric Holder on why the 2009 Fort Hood shooting has not been declared an act of terror.

So, to say I am disappointed in the President's budget proposal is an understatement. With bipartisan congressional support, the President signed into law the budget for the next years. This is another example of an untrustworthy President, who continues promoting the notion of ‘I do what I want, when I want, how I want.' That is not what our forefathers intended and is not what our constitution stands for.

Rep. Carter fights to keep IRS out of public's private life

The IRS has no business in the private lives of Americans. That was the message sent this week by Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) and the House of Representatives, who passed 12 bills that will place restrictions on the IRS and other government agencies as part of Stop Government Abuse Week.
