Carter Announces Grants for TX-31 Airports

Representative John Carter (TX-31) announced over $100,000 in Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) grants to TX-31 airports. These grants can be used towards operations, personnel, and resources to maintain the safety & functioning of these airports.

Carter Introduces Resist Executive Amnesty on Defense Installations Act

Yesterday, Representative John Carter (R-TX-31) introduced H.R. 2871, the Resist Executive Amnesty on Defense Installations (READI) Act, in the House. If enacted, the READI Act will completely prohibit the housing of illegal immigrants on any military installation within the United States. In fiscal year 2017, Representative Carter included language in the National Defense Authorization Act that prevents the housing of illegal aliens on military installations unless the Department of Defense certifies to Congress that their presence will not impact the readiness of the service members stationed there.
