House Passes TPA, Brings Transparency to FTA Negotiations, Makes Obama Accountable

Today, the House of Representatives passed Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation, which would give Congress the authority to reject or confirm any trade decision President Obama makes. The House did not vote on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), no vote is scheduled on TPP, and none will be until all countries involved finalize negotiations and the public has been able to review TPP for at least 60 days.

Carter Votes to Rein in the EPA

Today, Rep. John Carter (R-TX-31) voted to rein in an out of control Environmental Protection Agency, and put jobs and the economy above unreasonable, over regulation. The vote was in support of the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill of 2016 that passed out of the House Appropriations Committee, today.
