Today, Congressman John Carter (TX-31) announced $61 million in funding to renovate five additional barracks at Ft. Hood. These barracks are rated at Q4, the lowest possible quality rating. Last month, Congressman Carter toured barracks that were under renovation with Chairman Mac Thornberry of the Armed Services Committee, and stressed the importance of authorizing and funding barracks renovations, as well as motorpool and hangar construction.
