Carter Congratulates Baylor Scott & White on Merger Agreement

(ROUND ROCK, TX) -- The dramatic growth of health care institutions in Central Texas took another leap forward today as Baylor Health Care System and Scott and White Healthcare signed a merger agreement to create a new $7.7 billion organization, according to Congressman John Carter (R-TX31).

“This is a significant development for the continued growth of our region as a national leader in health care services and innovation,” says Carter.  “The combination of these two outstanding organizations creates the largest non-profit healthcare system in Texas, and one of the largest in the country.  I commend the leadership of both systems in moving forward with this vision to provide even greater access to world-class healthcare here in Central Texas.”
