Representative John Carter (TX-31) released the following statement after President Biden’s joint address to Congress.
Representative John Carter (TX-31) released the following statement after President Biden’s joint address to Congress. “In President Biden’s first 100 days, we’ve seen wasteful spending that will saddle future generations with massive debt, job losses among oil and gas workers, and rising prices. Unfortunately, what we heard tonight was not solutions to these problems, but more of the same. “America has been through a rough year, but rather than focusing to right this ship, President Biden and the Democrats have been focused on power grabs like H.R. 1, packing the Supreme Court and securing a 51st state. Our country needs smart policies that will unleash job creators, get Americans back to work, and build our economy stronger than ever. Instead, President Biden plans to continue his spending spree and tax his way out of this situation. “The Democrats’ vision for America is not one of prosperity, but government reliance. It’s not one of freedom, but an all-powerful overreaching federal government. We cannot continue on the path that Democrats have set forth, so Republicans will keep fighting against these socialist policies and instead stand up for common sense, freedom and smaller government.” ### |
