Rep. Carter Statement on the 14th Anniversary of 9/11
Washington, DC,
September 11, 2015
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Rep. John R. Carter (R-TX-31), released the following statement on the fourteenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001
Today, Rep. John R. Carter (R-TX-31) “Today marks 14 years since enemies of freedom carried out the terrorist attack on America and waged war against our way of life. I still remember like it was yesterday that crisp, clear, fall Tuesday morning that changed our lives forever.” “My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family, friends and loved ones of those who lost their lives to the heinous terrorist attacks on this country. I thank all of our brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve this great nation to hunt and take down the murderous thugs that want to destroy our way of life. And, we must not forget the first responders, many who lost their own lives, and our fellow Americans on Flight 93, who paid the ultimate sacrifice to save others in harm’s way.” “The War on Terror continues today with a growing threat by terrorists that want to destroy our way of life. Unlike enemies of previous generations, these terrorists do not have a country, they do not wear a uniform, and they do not play by the rules of war. We must be relentless in our pursuit to ensure the security of this great nation “On this Patriot Day, I encourage you to join me as I remember those we lost, our military men and women who continue to fight to preserve and protect America, and the first responders who risk their lives to keep us safe at home. God bless you all. We will never forget.” |
