President Obama targets your wallet and job

The American people have lost "hope" in President Obama, who tonight, once again, made false promises of "change" by pledging more government intervention in the lives of Americans, more failed policies and more taxes. "The American people have spoken Mr. President. We do not want any more of your hope and change. We need real solutions that will jump-start our economy, get people back to work and encourage growth," said Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) who reacted Tuesday to the President's State of the Union address.

The American people have lost “hope” in President Obama, who tonight, once again, made false promises of “change” by pledging more government intervention in the lives of Americans, more failed policies and more taxes. “The American people have spoken Mr. President. We do not want any more of your hope and change. We need real solutions that will jump-start our economy, get people back to work and encourage growth,” said Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) who reacted Tuesday to the President’s State of the Union address.

Despite his claim of sending Congress a ‘practical, not partisan’ budget proposal, the President has proven time and again he only plays a partisan game. The economy is not a game. The President’s plan will target job creators and businesses through increased taxes, hindering any real growth in the American economy.

“Whether it’s an employee who’s had their hours cut to fit inside Obamacare’s ‘30 hour workweek’ or someone whose wages have been reduced as a result of the President putting millions of new illegal workers into the labor force, it is clear the President is out of touch with what America truly needs.  It is not more taxes.  It is not more federal intervention. We need more jobs.  Rather than finding new and creative ways to punish job creators in America, the President should get out of the way and let Americans do what they do best: work hard, and grow their businesses and the economy,” said Congressman Carter.

Congressman Carter calls on the President to look at Texas for inspiration on a healthy economy. “My friends and neighbors tell me every weekend when I am home, ‘Let Texans lead the way. We can show the nation how to create jobs and empower hard-working citizens to build the economy.’ They are right, Mr. President. We must stimulate our nation from the bottom up. It’s time to bring more Texas to Washington and keep Washington out of our wallets.”
