Congressman John Carter has been awarded the National Taxpayers Union “Taxpayers’ Friend Award” for the 8th consecutive year for scoring an “A” rating with a grade of 90 in NTU’s annual rating of Congress for 2010.
“With all the challenges facing our economy, fiscal discipline in Washington, DC has never been more important,” NTU President Duane Parde said. “Fortunately, residents of the31st District of Texas could count on John Carter, to whom the National Taxpayers Union is proud to present a ‘Taxpayers’ Friend Award.’”
“I am proud to have been honored with this award for the past eight years here in the House, as I feel this is one of the primary issues I was elected to handle by the people of Central Texas,” said Carter. “It has become even more critical to the future of the country in this current fiscal crisis.”
