Carter Honors 2021 US Service Academy Appointees at Salute to Service Academy Appointees Ceremony(Killeen, TX)- Last weekend, Representative John Carter (TX-31) hosted the fourth annual "Salute to Service Academy Appointees" to honor TX-31 students that have been appointed to attend one of the United States service academies. Appointees completed an intense application process, including rounds of interviews, in order to receive a nomination from Representative Carter. Once a nomination is received, the academies review the nominees' applications and extend an appointment. “Nominating students to a U.S. Service Academy is one of my greatest honors as a Congressman," said Representative Carter. "After seeing their hard work and dedication firsthand, I know that the future of our nation is in good hands. The path that these students have chosen will not be easy, but I have no doubt that they are up for the challenge. I am exceptionally proud of the appointees from Texas’ 31st district and cannot wait to see all that they accomplish.” To learn more about the Service Academy nomination process with Rep.
