Congressman John Carter (TX-31) recently introduced the Leave Income for Families Extension Act, which makes the employer tax credit for paid family and medical leave permanent, so more companies can offer paid family leave to their employees. “I’m a father of four, grandfather to six, and I’ve also been a caregiver to ailing parents so I understand the need for paid family and medical leave for employees,” Representative John Carter said. “Life happens and having the safety net of paid family leave helps employees focus on their family’s needs instead of being worried about finances. Making this tax credit permanent will help companies feel more secure in offering this important benefit and I hope to see this bill come to the floor soon.” # # # |
