Congressman John Carter (TX-31) has pledged his support for Congressman Kevin Brady's Equal Treatment of Public Servants Act by cosponsoring the legislation. This bill will eliminate Social Security's Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and replace it with a new formula that ensures teachers, firefighters police officers, and other public servants receive Social Security benefits based on work history.

Carter Votes To Improve School Safety

The STOP School Violence Act authorizes funding to prevent school violence, including technology to improve school security and training for local law enforcement, staff, and students to help identify and stop student violence.
