The funding includes $19.2 million for a battalion headquarters complex and $10.5 million for a vehicle maintenance shop on Ft. Hood. We expect that our servicemembers do their jobs and do them well, so it’s Congress’ job to ensure they have the resources to do just that.” The fiscal year 2021 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill was passed through committee last Thursday and is expected to reach the House floor the end of July. # # # Rep. Carter represents Texas District 31, which includes Fort Hood, the largest active duty armored military installation in the free world.
