Carter on FY22 NDAA

The National Defense Authorization Act is a historically bipartisan piece of legislation in which Republicans and Democrats come together to do what is best for our nation’s military. I voted in support of H.R.4350, the FY22 NDAA, to ensure that our military has the best possible resources to protect and defend our nation.

Representative John Carter (TX-31) released the following statement after voting for the FY22 National Defense Authorization Act.

“The National Defense Authorization Act is a historically bipartisan piece of legislation in which Republicans and Democrats come together to do what is best for our nation’s military. I voted in support of H.R.4350, the FY22 NDAA, to ensure that our military has the best possible resources to protect and defend our nation.

"As a representative of Ft. Hood, I know how important it is to equip our military and take care of our service members and their families. The NDAA increases service members' pay and benefits, while protecting their individual rights and providing them with resources to maintain readiness. In addition, the NDAA holds the Biden administration accountable for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, strengthens the U.S. in our fight against China, and builds on our research and technology capabilities. I am confident that this piece of legislation meets the needs of our Armed Forces and strengthens the United States' ability to protect American citizens, both at home and abroad."
