Representative John Carter (TX-31) today announced a federal grant worth $1,520,000 for the Robert Gray Army Airfield in Killeen, Texas. The grant was originally funded by Representative Carter’s Appropriations Committee and is being awarded through the Airport Improvement Program. The grant money will go towards the construction of a 10,000 square foot hangar.

“This investment in airport infrastructure will improve travel, working conditions and safety at Robert Gray Army Airfield,” Representative Carter said. “As a member of the Appropriations Committee that’s responsible for funding these grants, I’m always pleased to see my constituents hard-earned tax dollars returned home to improve our community. I look forward to seeing this project completed at Robert Gray Army Airfield.”
