ROUND ROCK, T.X. -  Congressman John R. Carter (R-TX31) is proud to announce that Fort Hood will utilize $46 million of funds from the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2015, which was passed in early December 2014, for a military training center on post.

“I am proud to represent the Great Place and even prouder to ensure funding for the biggest item on Fort Hood’s priority list- a military training center. I knew Fort Hood needed a military training facility and am excited that this funding will go straight where is needs to, our soldiers. Our men and women in uniform deserve the best we can provide them, especially in training. This facility will only strengthen our national defense by providing a state-of-the-art facility for our soldiers. We are facing a different type of war. Our soldiers need the best technological and strategic training we can provide.

Funding was authorized for unfunded military construction priorities through the National Defense Authorization Act and funded with passage of the Cromnibus.
