The Honoring the Families of Fallen Soldiers Act (H.J.Res. 91) provides immediate funding for death gratuities and related benefits for survivors of deceased military service members of the Department of Defense.
Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) and his House colleagues voted today to provide funding for families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. The Honoring the Families of Fallen Soldiers Act (H.J.Res. 91) provides immediate funding for death gratuities and related benefits for survivors of deceased military service members of the Department of Defense. “The families of our brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice should never be part of a political battle. I represent the ‘Great Place’, full of proud soldiers, veterans and their families and I will not give up my daily fight for them,” said Congressman Carter. “This legislation will ensure those families who lost their soldier receive their due benefits. It’s the least this country can do. I encourage the Senate to put their damaging politics aside and come to the table for negotiations.” #### |
