(Round Rock, TX)- Representative John Carter (TX-31) announced a $25,000 grant, funded through the CARES Act, for the Round Rock Public Library System today. The money was awarded to help Round Rock Public Library respond to the Coronavirus, including financial support for contactless and curbside services. “I want to congratulate Round Rock Public Library for earning a $25,000 grant appropriated in the CARES Act,” said Representative Carter. “With schools and many normal activities closed for the last several months, the library is continuing to support learning and entertainment for Round Rock residents. As an avid reader myself, the resources the Round Rock Public Library provides for families are indispensable, and it’s always nice to see Texans’ hard-earned tax dollars return locally for the betterment of our community.” The emergency funding comes from the money appropriated to the Institute of Museum and Library Services in the CARES Act and is awarded by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. ### |
