Chairman Carter released the following statement Thursday in regards to the shooting death of Killeen Police Officer, Robert "Bobby" Hornsby.

"I am deeply saddened about the tragic loss of Killeen Police Officer Robert 'Bobby' Hornsby. Officer Hornsby’s bravery and commitment to the badge will be honored and remembered.  My prayers are with Officer Hornsby’s family, his brothers and sisters in blue at the Killeen Police Department, the City of Killeen and this community. My prayers of healing also go out to Officer Juan Obregon Junior."
