Cedar Park Post Office to be Dedicated Friday to Army Specialist Matthew Morris

(CEDAR PARK, TX) – The U.S. Post Office at 500 East Whitestone Boulevard will be officially dedicated to Army Specialist Matthew Troy Morris in ceremonies this Friday by U.S. Representative John Carter (R-TX31) and local officials.

Carter introduced H.R.298 on January 18, 2011, authorizing the naming of the facility in honor of Specialist Morris.  The bill passed the House by a 391-0 margin on November 14, 2011, and was subsequently approved by the Senate through unanimous voice vote on April 26, 2012.  The legislation was signed into law by the President on May 15.
