Monday News Conference on Salamander Developments

(AUSTIN, TX) – U.S. Representative John Carter (R-TX31) along with State Representative Larry Gonzales, Williamson County Commissioners Val Covey and Lisa Birkman, Cedar Park Mayor Matt Powell, and representatives of the Williamson County Conservation Foundation, Georgetown Defense Alliance, and Texas Salamander Coalition will announce Monday the latest developments on the potential listing of area salamanders as endangered species by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).

The news conference is scheduled at a prime salamander habitat site in south Williamson County. The location provides excellent photo opportunities to observe the species in the wild.   Carter will be available for individual media interviews on request after the news conference.
