Veterans Service Dog bill in Health Subcommittee Hearings Today

For immediate release: July 25, 2011

  -- The ability of disabled veterans to use their service dogs in VA facilities will be examined today in hearings by the House Committee on Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Health.  

The Veterans Equal Treatment for Service Dogs (VETS Dogs) Bill, HR 1154, was introduced in March by Congressman John Carter (R-TX31).  The bill would guarantee all veterans the right to use their service dogs at VA facilities nationwide.
