(KILLEEN, TX)– Today, Rep. John Carter (TX-31) issued the following statement regarding the 75th Anniversary of Fort Hood, Texas: “For 75 years, Fort Hood has stood strong in defense of our nation. To Central Texans, the men and women of the Great Place are more than just soldiers, they are our family, friends, and neighbors. On this 75th Anniversary, we celebrate, honor, and remember the service and sacrifice of our Fort Hood Heroes, past and present.” Rep. Carter represents Texas District 31, which includes Fort Hood, the largest active duty armored military installation in the free world. He serves as Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Appropriations, co-chairman of the Congressional Army Caucus, is on the Subcommittee for Commerce, Justice and Science and the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. ### |
