Local Schools to Receive Grants

Federal Funds Aimed at Improving Teaching at Risk Children

U.S. Congressman John Carter (TX-31) is proud to announce numerous education grants to local educational agencies (LEAs) in the 31st District of Texas for the upcoming school year. These funds will provide financial assistance to schools to improve teaching and learning for at risk children.

“I have long said that Texans know how to educate Texas children best.  Bell and Williamson Counties should have maximum primary control over how their school funds are spent,” said Congressman Carter former member of the House Committee on Education and Workforce. “As a parent and a grandparent, education has always been a priority of mine. I am proud that our local community will receive the funds they need to help at-risk children in Bell and Williamson Counties.”
