Fighting to Preserve our Second Amendment Rights

| Posted in Articles

By John R. Carter As a proud member of the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus with an A+ rating from the NRA, I am honored to be at the forefront of efforts to secure firearm ownership and defend our Second Amendment rights. Sadly, I can't count President Obama as an ally in these efforts.

Yes, Mr. President, We are at War with Radical Islamic Terrorists

| Posted in Articles

By John R. Carter President Obama needs to wake up and realize that we are at war. When he took office in 2009, he stopped using the term ‘War on Terror' because he wanted to bury his head in the sand and ignore the fact that radical Islamic terrorists that seek the destruction of the western world have waged war against the United States and our allies. These murderous thugs are seeking any way possible to infiltrate our great nation. Their so-called "Caliphate" calls for the destruction of our livelihood, freedoms, and overall existence.

The Great Place - Unmatched Military Value for a Strong National Defense

Fort Hood is the foundation of America’s military security.  Yet potential troop reduction or a continuation of the President’s disastrous sequestration policies could do long-term harm to The Great Place.  I’ll never stop fighting to prevent that from happening. From ISIS to Al Qaeda, significant threats to the American way of life endure.  Yet our Army…

Dwight Eisenhower’s handwritten statement to be released had the June 6, 1944 invasion failed.  Ever pragmatic, he was hopeful for…

Nightmare at the border

The humanitarian catastrophe that is unfolding along the Southwest border and, in particular, in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, is nothing shy of tragic. In 2011, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stated that 6,500 unaccompanied children illegally crossed the Southwest border into the United States.  In 2014, CBP is estimating that number to rise ten-fold, to at least 66,000…

Culture of Corruption

It has been more than nine months since Lois Lerner, head of tax exempt groups at the IRS, admitted the IRS targeted groups based on their political beliefs. As the scandal has unfolded, the media has predictably remained largely silent, allowing the Obama administration to sweep it under the rug. In fact, in an interview with Fox News, President Obama went as far to say there “was…
