(STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS) – Stephenville hero Courtney Butler will be honored Monday morning with a presentation to her family by U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-TX) of the Congressional Record documenting her sacrifice and bravery.Miss Butler, 16, gave her life in an attempt to rescue another person caught up in floodwaters in May 2008. Butler was posthumously awarded the Carnegie Medal for heroism in recognition of her selfless act.
