Carter Texas Offices Join Tea Party Rallies Friday
Round Rock, TX,
July 16, 2009
(ROUND ROCK, TEXAS) – Congressman John Carter (R-TX31) will open his Round Rock and Temple congressional offices Friday (tomorrow) morning to welcome and support Tea Party demonstrators who are participating in nationwide protests against the Democrat’s plans to socialize U.S. healthcare. Tea Party volunteers are expected to arrive at 11:00am, and will be greeted by congressional staff that will provide handout information on Carter’s stance against the health plan introduced by Democrats this week in Washington. “This outrage of a plan will strip over a hundred million Americans of their current health insurance plan at work, and force them into socialized medicine, where government bureaucrats will determine what doctors and treatments they can have,” says Carter, Secretary of the House Republican Conference. “If we allow Democrats to pull this off, we will lose the greatest healthcare system in the world, turn a quarter of our economy over to an out-of-control central government, and permanently destroy the patient-doctor relationship.” Carter says every red-blooded American needs to join the Tea Party movement to defend free market health care and the Bill of Rights. “Many good Americans have been too quiet for too long,” says the former Texas judge. “Now is the time to fight if we want to leave a country worth living in to our children and grandchildren. This group has the organization in place to get our message across, and if you’re not participating in protests already, join in this one, for the future of Texas and America.” WHO: Tea Party Participants, Texas 31 Congressional Staff WHAT: Protest against Socialized Medicine WHEN: 11:00AM Friday, July 17 WHERE: Round Rock – One Financial Center, 1717 North IH 35 Suite 303 Temple – 6544B S.
