U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-TX-31) visited Loram Technologies, Inc.’s Global Rail Campus, a soon-to-be constructed state-of-the-art facility, for a ceremonial groundbreaking. The new facility will be nearly 92,000 square feet and include a corporate office and facility with rail access.

Rep. Carter currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee, where he is the chair of the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies Subcommittee. He also serves on the Defense Subcommittee and Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies Subcommittee.

“It was terrific hosting Rep. Carter at our groundbreaking facility today. Being able to share Loram’s story with the congressman and stakeholders at this unique event was a terrific experience. Our company’s story of maintaining the safety culture we have established while maintaining growth is something in which we take a lot of pride, and I was glad we had the opportunity to share that today,” said Nate Bachman, vice president of sales and business development for Loram Technologies.

The soon-to-be constructed headquarters and facility for Loram Technologies will continue to produce and manufacture maintenance-of-way equipment, inspection technologies and provide MOW and inspection technology services to customers. Loram Technologies is part of the Loram Corporation (Loram), based out of Hamel, Minn., and was acquired by Loram in 2020 (formerly Georgetown Rail Equipment Company). Loram employs more than 1,800 individuals, with the majority of those being heavy equipment operators and maintainers working on railway lines across North America. The company has manufacturing facilities and corporate offices in Minnesota, Illinois and Texas.
