(Round Rock, TX) – Congressman John Carter (TX-31) announced Nicole Marie Petrik from Cedar Ridge High School as Best in Show of the 2018 Congressional Art Competition. The winners were announced on Saturday at a reception celebrating all of the 2018 TX-31 Art Competition participants at Texas State University Round Rock Campus.

“I’m so impressed by all of the participants in this year’s Congressional Art Competition. This year, my office received over 100 submissions, and the young men and women in District 31 really brought their A game, it was certainly difficult for our judges to choose the winners. I look forward to Nicole’s visit to Washington, DC and seeing her artwork represent District 31 in the Capitol each day. Congratulations to all of our participants for their hard work,” Congressman Carter said.

Many of the artwork pieces will be on display at the Texas State University Round Rock Campus for the next two weeks.
