Carter Hosts 7th Annual Congressional Veteran Commendation Ceremony 

(Killeen, TX) – Congressman John Carter (TX-31) hosted the 7th Annual Congressional Veteran Commendation (CVC) Ceremony today, recognizing ten TX-31 veterans who were nominated for their selfless service to the Central Texas community and our great nation.

“The Congressional Veteran Commendation Ceremony is a special opportunity for Central Texans to express our overwhelming appreciation for the veterans who have served our country honorably in our Armed Forces and continued their selfless service to better our community,” Representative Carter said. “The ten distinguished veterans honored at today’s ceremony have gone above and beyond answering the call to serve, and we will be forever grateful for their dedication and sacrifice.”

Rep. Carter represents Texas District 31, which includes Fort Hood, the largest active duty armored military installation in the free world. He serves as co-chairman of the Congressional Army Caucus and Chairman of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Appropriations.
