The President's Burdensome Budget Request

Rep. Carter released the following statement regarding the release of the President’s burdensome budget request: 

“The President’s so-called budget is nothing more than another irresponsible proposal to increase taxes to pay for more out-of-control spending in Washington D.C. The President’s budget will only further burden Americans and strap our children and grandchildren with more crushing debt,” said Rep. John Carter. “We must cut wasteful federal spending, fully fund national initiatives like a strong defense and homeland security, and lower burdensome taxes to spur growth and decrease the deficit. We must empower job creators, harness the hard-working American spirit and create real solutions to decrease the deficit.”
