(Round Rock, TX) – Representative John Carter (TX-31) announced Soham Govande from Round Rock High School as the winner of the 2019 Congressional App Challenge. Soham’s app entitled “MyoCheck” serves as a digital eye exam.

“A big congratulations to Soham on winning this year’s Congressional App Challenge,” said Rep. Carter. “This was the first year for the TX-31 Congressional App Challenge and each submission was incredibly impressive. Soham’s development of this innovative app is a remarkable achievement and I’m excited to see what he accomplishes in the future.”

The Congressional App Challenge encourages students to learn to code and create an original app in any programming language. The winning app will be displayed on the U.S. House and App Challenge websites, as well as in the U.S. Capitol.
