Last night, the House passed Congressman John Carter's (TX-31) Justice Served Act, a bill that will direct funding to state and local jurisdictions to aid in the prosecution of violent criminals who have been identified through newly discovered DNA evidence.

Congressman John Carter (TX-31) announced Nicole Marie Petrik from Cedar Ridge High School as Best in Show of the 2018 Congressional Art Competition. The winners were announced on Saturday at a reception celebrating all of the 2018 TX-31 Art Competition participants at Texas State University Round Rock Campus.

U.S. Representatives John Carter (TX-31) and Roger Williams (TX-25) returned yesterday evening from a weeklong visit to Iraq and Kuwait. The trip consisted of meetings with American servicemen and women, including III Corps Soldiers from Ft. Hood, and meetings with U.S. officials, and government leaders.
