Today, Congressman John Carter (TX-31) supported, and the House passed, the Strengthening Career and Technical Education Act. This bill completely overhauls our country's career and technical education (CTE) system to provide even more Americans with opportunities to pursue successful careers without a traditional four-year college degree.
Congressman John Carter (TX-31) has introduced H.R. 6447, the Department of Homeland Security Chief Data Officer Authorization Act, to increase transparency between the agency, Congress and the public. This legislation creates a Chief Data Officer in each of DHS' twenty-two components to collate all statistics, analytics and policies to ensure a more timely response to requests from Congress and the public.
